Corruption remains one of the greatest obstacles to development, equity, and justice across the globe. At Angathe, we firmly believe that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are the game changers of today.
On June 27, during the Youth Summit on Democracy & Human Rights, we brought together brilliant young minds, policymakers, and development partners to explore practical strategies for youth involvement in anti-corruption efforts.
Why Youth Matter in the Anti-Corruption Movement
Young people are:
- More open to innovation and transparency.
- Less entrenched in corrupt systems.
- Bold and willing to challenge the status quo.
- Strong digital advocates capable of amplifying messages.
When empowered, educated, and given a platform, youth can play a transformational role in creating a culture of accountability.
Together, We Can Shift the Culture
We are inspired by the enthusiasm and courage of the young voices who are standing up, speaking out, and taking action against corrupt practices in their communities. Through youth leadership, we can:
- Promote ethical governance.
- Hold leaders accountable.
- Cultivate integrity at all levels of society.
As we continue this journey, we invite more youth to join hands with us. Together, we can shift the culture and shape a future where integrity, transparency, and justice prevail.
